Pinoy Big Brother: Season 5 Online Auditions Requirements, Mechanics

Pinoy Big Brother has opened the PBB Season 5 online auditions. Here are the requirements and mechanics PBB aspirants must follow.

  •     It must be a clear video that shows your face, with good natural lighting and not against the light or overexposed.
  •     Follow the right distance from the camera, whether close up or mid shot, no extreme close up, full or wide shot.
  •     Talk clearly. Avoid taking a video in public places. Kuya should hear your voice, not the noise in your surroundings.
  •     Your video should not exceed one minute. In 1 minute, state your name, age, address, your job if working, your course if studying, and answer the question: “Bakit ka karapat-dapat maging housemate ni Kuya?” (Why should you be Kuya’s housemate?). Remember, limit your video to 1 minute only.
  •     Avoid video effects. Creativeness is okay but it’s not needed. No need also to put background music. Only YOU should be heard.
  •     Be natural. Enjoy!!!

Auditionees aged 18 to 35 years old must download and fill-up the PBB Season 5 Questionnaire, Waiver and Release Form then email to pbb@pinoybigbrother.com.

Aspirants aged 12 to 17 years old must download and fill up the PBB Teen 5 Questionnaire, Waiver and Release Form then email to pbbteens@pinoybigbrother.com.

Video submissions for the Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) online audition are accepted from December 1, 2013 until January 15, 2014. Good luck!

Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios claimed that the Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao didn’t hurt him during their fight yesterday at Macau but his recent interview video shows that he cries after losing to Pac-Man.

Top Rank Boxing interviewed Rios wherein he shared how hard he worked in the gym in order to put Manny Pacquiao down but he failed on his attempt to out-perform the eight-division world champion.

Based upon the interview video which gone viral already, Rios started to break in tears showing that he was hurt with his defeat against Pacquiao. The 27-year-old boxer momentarily paused during the interview to recover from his emotions.

Brandon Rios narrated that his 5-month hard work with his team in the boxing gym just to pursue their game plan against Pacquaio failed. He did not expect the awesome speed of Pacquiao in the ring, not only with his jabs but with his entire body movement.

Rios was also quoted as saying, “I’d tried to win… Five months in the gym training and training. I bounce back, learn from your mistake,” Rios said sobbing.

With the defeat of Brandon Rios, the Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao captured the newly-created title, the WBO International Welterweight Championship belt.

iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c finally arrived in Philippines

Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), Philippine leading network is releasing on Friday, November 15, its first batch of iPhone 5s, the most forward-thinking smartphone in the world, and iPhone 5c, the most colorful iPhone yet.

Company officials announced today that the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c will be will be released simultaneously in all Smart Stores across the country, on the first day of its availability.

Approved applicants who registered online during the sign-up period may also get their units at their chosen pick-up points – whether at the Eastwood Mall Open Park in Quezon City or at the Jump Experience Center in SM City Cebu and SM Lanang Premier, Davao.

The highly-anticipated iPhones will further boost Smart’s portfolio of smartphones capable of ultrafast LTE wireless Internet.

Widest selection of Plans

Aside from its most number of iPhone distribution channels yet on Day 1 of its launch, Smart is also offering the widest range of postpaid plans and offers that can be paired with the iPhone 5s or the iPhone 5c.

The iPhone 5s (16GB, 32GB, 64GB) and iPhone 5c (16GB, 32GB) are available on Smart Postpaid’s Freedom Plan, All-In Plans 500, 800, 1200, 1800 and 2500; iPhone Plans 999 and 2499; UnliData Plans 1500, 2000 and 3000; and Smart Infinity Plans 3500, 5000 and 8000.

Smart also unveiled iPhone packages that it will be offering for the first time.

Subscribers who will be availing of the iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c on Freedom Plan (Smart postpaid plan offering with no lock-out period and fixed monthly fees), will get free 250mb of data worth P300 every month for the entire first year of subscription.

Premium offers also await Smart Infinity members. Canada to fast process applications of Yolanda-hit Pinoys

As we know that super typhoon Yolanda (International name: Haiyan) has affected many areas of Philippines.

In regards to this, Canadian Citizenship and Immigration (CIC) Minister Chris Alexanda have announced that  they will be prioritizing the processing of applications on request from Filipinos who have been "significantly and personally" affected by the typhoon.

"Request from Filipino citizens temporarily in Canada who wish to extend their stay will be assessed in a compassionate and flexible manner," according to a notice posted on the website of the CIC.

The CIC also set up special email addresses and a dedicated phone line to respond to requests from applicants and their families:

Overseas: Applicants who can demonstrate that they are significantly and personally affected and wish to declare their cases a priority can contact the visa office in Manila directly at manila-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca.

In Canada: Applicants and their family members who wish to declare their cases as a priority can contact situation-philippines@cic.gc.ca or contact CIC's Call Centre at 1-888-242-2100, which has a dedicated crisis line.
