Charice joins a 'powerhouse' panel of judges in new show (Philippines)

> Charice had confirmed that she will seat as judge in the upcoming singing competition “The X Factor Philippines.” To join her in the panel are Martin Nievera, Vice Ganda and a still unnamed artist.

Expected to air on ABS-CBN in the 2nd quarter of 2012, “The X Factor Philippines” aims to search for a new breed of singing talents in the Philippines.

Kapamilya singer-actress KC Concepcion will host the show.

It’s exciting to know how the members of the panel of judges—an international singing sensation, a concert king, a comedy concert king and another celebrity yet to be revealed—being high-caliber performers themselves, would judge the performances of hopefuls.

Charice earlier hinted that aspiring performers should not only have the X factor, they must possess real talent as well. Martin for his part admitted that he is not ready to give negative comments to the contestants.


The concert king, who revealed his aspiration to become an auditionee in “The X Factor USA,” was quoted in the Viva Entertainment website as saying:

“I’m not prepared. I get so emotionally attached to people. Sana one-night judging lang, tapos ang kuwento, di ba? But no. It’s gonna be very hard. Naku, I can see it already. I’m gonna start falling in love with these kids. And hearing their stories...”

We still yet to hear what Vice Ganda would say on being an X Factor judge.
