David Archuleta Runs Into An “Oompa Loompa”

> David Archuleta, American Idol Season 10 runner-up and television actor in the Philippines, ran into what he called “an oompa loompa” during a photoshoot on Thursday, March 22.

David, who played Josh in the newly concluded TV5 mini-series “Nandito Ako” posted the following messages in his Twitter account:

“Doing a photoshoot today,” David revealed, and then added, “Ran into an oompa loompa during the photoshoot. Who would have thought, haha.”

“Btw, here's my pic with the oompa loompa,” he posted, with a link to a photo attached to his tweet.

According to IMDB.com, Oompa Loompas are small people from Loompaland, who work at Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. They were classic characters in Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Only one man, Deep Roy, played the role of all the Oompa Loompas in 2005.

David must have referred to the beautiful girl in the picture as oompa loompa because of her hairstyle.

TV5 aired the finale episode of “Nandito Ako” on Friday, March 23. After which, David used Twitter to express to his fans gratitude.

“I hope everyone enjoyed all of the work that we’ve put into the “Nandito Ako” mini-series! It was an awesome experience! Thanks everybody!” he tweeted.
