Fire Hits Ever Gotesco Grand Central Mall Caloocan (March 16-17, 2012)

> For more than 10 hours, firefighters battled the fire at Ever Gotesco Grand Central Mall in Caloocan which reportedly started before midnight on Friday, March 16, 2012.

According to radio and television reports, the blaze that reached Task Force Delta alarm status on Saturday morning, March 17, began at a shoe shop at the Grand Central Mall ground floor.

The fire has reportedly reached the top floor before noontime.

According to reports, some owners of boutiques and stores inside the mall pleaded to firefighters to let them in so they can salvage their goods and stocks to no avail.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage, reports GMA News.
