John Carter star in Chandigarh (India)

British actor Mark Strong joined the fleet of Hollywood stars shooting for Kathryn Bigelow's " Zero Dark Thirty" in Chandigarh. 
 
Post his landing at the Chandigarh airport, the " John Carter" star, who's also starred in flicks like "Green Lantern" and " Sherlock Holmes", headed for the film set.

The prolific actordid not speak to the press. He oozed confidence and moved with a typical swagger - similar to the one possessed by members of the US Navy Seals, a role he's rumoured to be playing in Bigelow's movie. A source from the unit said, "He has a vital role to essay. It's been kept under wraps. Even the costumes are yet not out."

Sources said Mark's fine handling of Hani Salaam's character in "Body of Lies" helped him reserve a berth in "ZDT". Notably, "BOL" too had a plot which dealt with the nabbing of fugitive Al-Salim. And Mark, in that movie, played the role of the head of the Jordanian General Intelligence Department. "He's an experienced actor who can handle sensitive roles with finesse," a unit member said.

The actor, who has worked with Hollywood's top actors, including Leonardo DiCaprio, is on his first visit to India like many other "ZDT" crew members. When asked, co-producer Colin Wilson did not reveal anything about his character, but said, "Mark will be shooting for some time in Chandigarh."
