In her story, which was published by ABS-CBN News, Lotis revealed that she and Dolphy “could both die laughing” from their own jokes.
“Maybe that’s why he wanted us to marry,” she said.
“Every few months [he] would bring out those rings and lay them on my dressing table, my pillow, my plate, and just look at me and raise his eyebrows,” Lotis said.
The multi-talented actress said she would laugh and say, “What are we going to do? Run away and live on a desert island? These kids are a part of your life. You have to talk to them!”
At the end of her story, Lotis described Dolphy as ‘the sunshine of her life’.
“Somewhere in time we’ll always be connected, two giggling kids in blue jeans. In my old age now, I think of you and smile,” she wrote.
The King of Comedy is presently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Makati Medical Center.
Doctors from Makati Med in their latest medical bulletin said Dolphy has been cleared of pneumonia, but some infections remained.
