Classes are suspended in some parts of Metro Manila due to heavy flooding (July 3, 2012)

> Several schools and LGUs in Metro Manila have declared suspension of classes on July 3, 2012 due to heavy downpour caused by a Low Pressure Area.



Weather bureau PAGASA said that as of 8am, the LPA was spotted 50 kilometers West Southwest of Manila, bringing rains over Central and Southern Luzon including the National Capital Region (NCR) and Western Visayas.

All classes in preschool to high school in all schools (Private and Public) are suspended for the following areas:

• Cainta, Rizal
• Pasay City
• Paranaque City
• Pasig City
• Las Pinas City
• Marikina City
• Makati City
• San Juan
• Caloocan City
• Bacoor, Cavite
• Quezon City
• Manila
• Taguig
• Navotas
• Valenzuela (Karuhatan Nat'l School and Karuhatan West ES)

Afternoon classes are meanwhile suspended in the following colleges and universities:

• PUP in Sta. Mesa, San Juan, Commonwealth and Taguig
• De La Salle University (Classes in all levels & in all campuses from 1:00 pm onwards)
• UP Manila
• New Era University
• St. Scholastica's College Manila (all levels)
• UE Caloocan & Manila
• UA&P
• Central Colleges of the Philippines
• San Beda College
• Far Eastern University
• Assumption - Antipolo 
• Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Intramuros 
• De La Salle College of St. Benilde 
• Jose Rizal University, Mandaluyong (Elem. and high school) 
• Philippine Medical Women's School 
• Saint Francis of Assisi College 
• Saint Pedro Poveda College
