On 4th Dec, 1980, Miss Pooja was born into Punjabi Nirankari family in Rajpura, Punjab. Her real name is Gurinder Kaur Kainth. Inderpal Kainth is her father whilst Saroj Devi is her mother, on other side, she also one 1 brother and sister in her family namely Manpreet and Maninder, respectively. She has a M.A in Music, B.Ed. Miss Pooja taught music for two years before she received acclaim as one of the best bhangra artists. Furthermore, Pooja consider Kesar Nand Kesar & Mahinder Singh Nagina as her ustads.
