Apparently, Pensioners of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) will receive a Christmas cash gift on Thursday after it approved the release of P1.62 billion for the purpose.
According to ANC reports that the GSIS’ more than 200,000 pensioners will get the 2011 Christmas cash gift beginning December 15. Moreover, cash gifts are given to eligible active old-age, retirement and disability pensioners who are receiving their regular monthly pensions as of December 2011.
Also, retirees who opted to get their five-year lump sum pension and who will resume their monthly pension within December 2011 after the end of a five-year guaranteed period, are also eligible to receive the cash gift, reports said.
