According to Starmometer Report. some of the brightest talents of Star Records were honored with seven major recognitions in various categories at the recent 24th Awit Awards.
First Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) grand winner Jovit Baldivino clinched two of the most coveted trophies—‘Best Male Performance by a New Male Recording Artist’ and ‘Best Selling Album of the Year’ for his album, “Faithfully.”
Meanwhile, Juris took home the ‘Album of the Year Award’ with her “Now Playing by Juris” album; while “Sa’yo Lamang” by Jamie Rivera with the Hail Mary the Queen Children’s Choir was hailed ‘Best Inspirational/Religious Recording.’ PGT finalist Ezra band was honored with the ‘Best Performance by a New Group Recording Artists’ award.
Star Records ruled even in the ‘best dance’ and ‘best song for movie’ categories. The “Move” album by Gabriel Valenciano featuring her sister Kiana, was named ‘Best Dance Recording;’ while the song “Kaya Mo!” for “RPG Metanoia” took home the ‘Best Song Written for TV/Movie/Stage Play’ award.
