Honrado explained that the five-year implementation of the additional P200 collection for improvements in airport security will lapse by the said date.
Honrado also defended management over the continuing protest of employees because of the non-release of their Christmas bonus last year.
The MIAA general manager said that the 14th- to 17th-month pay being demanded by the employees has not yet been approved by the task force on government compensation, as mandated by law.
Many airport employees say they are relying on the bonus to augment the budget of their families for the coming year.
