I liked the blogging platform they use and the short subdomain (i.ph) which is very Google-friendly. What I liked most in their service was the availability of several customized themes that are perfect for personal blogs. I wrote in my i.ph blog for a while until I have decided to switch to my own (this site) domain name. Despite being inactive, it felt sad that this great blog provider must shut down soon.

The management informs its users that blogging service will be closing on May 21, 2012 due to the costly maintenance. Maintaining it as a free service has become unsustainable and they are unable to devote the resources neccessary to keep it going.
All the i.ph blogs and files will be deleted from their servers after May 21, 2012. The management gives 2 months for the bloggers to transfer their blog content. According to them, they will provide an easier way to transfer blog posts.
Should the users want to keep on using their i.ph domain even after the blogging service has shut down, they can buy it as a low-cost personal domain for individual, non-commercial use.
The i.ph personal domain will be fully-functional and will work just like any other. It can be used for your own website and as an email address. It will come with free mailforwarding so you can use it as an address and still receive mail through your Gmail or Yahoo Mail account. However, the i.ph domain could not be used by companies/organizations or for selling goods, products and services.
i.ph domains will be priced at $14.00 for a 2-year registration.
