Photos of Tourists Posing With Cross Draw Criticism Online (Philippines)

> Some local and foreign tourists took turns in posing at the cross that was prepared for the Senakulo at the Lourdes Village in Angeles City on Good Friday, April 6, 2012.

Photography enthusiast Maike Domingo noticed that spectators were doing something unusual at the site where three crosses were placed.

He snapped some pictures which showed a girl, some teenagers and even a foreigner posing happily on the wooden structures.

The controversial photos immediately went viral when Domingo posted them on social networking site Facebook as netizens were quick to share the pictures with some of them describing the acts as disrespectful to the Christian faith, insensitive and blasphemous.

Local officials apologized for the incident and the crosses have already been removed from the vacant lot, reports said.
