Claudine, Raymart seek protection from Tulfo brods (Philippines)

> MANILA, Philippines – Showbiz couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto on Friday filed charges against the three Tulfo brothers for threatening them on national television.

Santiago and Barretto arrived at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court on Friday morning to file grave threat and serious oral defamation charges against the Tulfo brothers Raffy, Ben and Erwin.

The charges were in response to the threats made by the three Tulfos over their TV5 show “T3” a day after Santiago and Barretto figured in a brawl with columnist Ramon Tulfo at the NAIA-3.

The couple also filed a petition for a writ of amparo so that authorities can provide them with security.

The couple earlier filed physical injury and child abuse charges against Ramon Tulfo.

Ramon, on the other hand, had filed physical injuries and grave coercion charges against the couple.

T3 suspended
The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) on Thursday slapped a 20-day suspension for T3.

The decision did not sit well with officials of TV5, saying the MTRCB has no jurisdiction with news programs such as T3.

Nevertheless, TV5 said they will abide by the reviewing body’s decision. They said they will bring the case before the Court of Appeals (CA).

MTRCB chief Grace Poe-Llamanzares, meanwhile, stood by the board’s decision to suspend the news program.
