MTRCB Finds Probable Cause On T3 Case, Schedules Hearing Today (Philippines)

> The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has found probable cause to charge TV5 program “T3 Kapatid Sagot Kita” after its hosts, Tulfo brothers Ben, Raffy and Erwin, allegedly threatened celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto during its May 7, 2012 episode.


In a statement, the MTRCB said T3 violated certain guidelines particularly Section 3(c) of P.D. 1986 for “airing scenes and utterances that are indecent and contrary to law, or with a dangerous tendency to encourage the commission of violence, or of a wrong or crime.”

MTRCB scheduled the case for hearing today, May 10, 2012 at 10:30 A.M., the statement signed by chairperson Mary Grace Poe Llamanzares said.

The matter was also endorsed to the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) “for appropriate action with respect to the television personalities involved,” it added.

The Tulfo brothers have been suspended by TV5. Their brother, Mon, who was figured in an airport brawl with Raymart, Claudine and companions last Sunday, May 6, temporarily replaces them on the show.
