Phillip Phillips To Undergo Kidney Surgery - Report

> American Idol grand finalist Phillip Phillips is reportedly suffering from kidney problems since October last year. When he went back home to Georgia last Saturday, May 12, his doctor told him that he badly needs surgery.


The 21-year-old singer refused to immediately undergo surgery while the show isn’t over, TMZ reported Friday, May 18.

During a medical check up, the doctor was surprised when he discovered how little Phillips ate and how horrible he looked.

Citing multiple “Idol” sources, the website revealed that the singer would need at least 6 weeks to recover from the kidney operation.
