Kuya of Pinoy Big Brother (Photos and Video)

> Who is Kuya of ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother (PBB)? Fans of the reality show still wonder who the person behind the mysterious voice is.


Since 2010, many have tried to guess and two names have been mentioned - Lourd de Veyra, the award-winning musician, emcee, poet, journalist, broadcast personality, product endorser, commercial ad voice-over and vocalist of jazz rock band Radioactive Sago Project; and ABS-CBN business unit head and movie/television director Laurenti Dyogi, more popularly known as Direk Lauren, the show’s director.

Some netizens, who claimed to be network insiders, said Kuya of PBB is a “cousin” of the latter.

Both Direk Lauren and Kuya guested on “Bandila” to end rumors that they are one and the same person.

During the interview with Boy Abunda, Kuya described his looks. He said he is “taller than a typical Filipino, has fair complexion, of medium build, age 40 plus, already married, and currently lives in Quezon City.”

In January 2010, Kuya appeared on television for the first time to hug PBB host Toni Gonzaga on her birthday.

In that rare moment, he showed up wearing gray Crocs shoes, washed denim jeans and a navy blue jacket.

So why does ABS-CBN continue to hide Kuya’s face and real identity all this time? Could be a ‘trade secret’, but for sure it’s the show’s policy.
