As of 6pm today, PAGASA said the center of Bagyong Gener was spotted at 410 kilometers east southeast of Casiguran, Aurora, with maximum winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It is forecast to move north northwest at 15 kph.
PAGASA warned residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under the public storm warning signal to be alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides.
Estimated rainfall amount is from 10 to 25 millimiters per hour (heavy - intense) within the 500 km diameter of the tropical storm, weather experts reported.
TS Gener is expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon that will bring rains over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao especially the western section, PAGASA added.
