> Philippines and Chinese Taipei will play the quarterfinal Basketball Match for the 4th FIBA Asia Cup 2012, on 20 September 2012 in Tokyo, Japan at 2:00 p.m. (Japan Time). Smart Gilas, the Philippine men’s national basketball team, in the FIBA Asia Cup 2012 in Tokyo has been determined.The 4th FIBA Asia Cup, formerly Stankovic Cup, will kick off starting on September 14 until September 22, 2012 at Ota Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.


Smart Gilas 2 roster for 4th FIBA Asia Cup 2012 is composed of Jeff Chan, Gary David, Ranidel De Ocampo, Jared Dillinger, Marcus Douthit, Larry Fonacier, Gabe Norwood, JR Reyes, Matt Ganuelas, LA Tenorio, Sonny Thoss, Enrico Villanueva, and Jared Dillinger.

In addition, the Chinese Taipei national basketball team is the basketball team representing Taiwan in international competitions, organized and run by the CTBA (Chinese Taipei Basketball Association).Chinese Taipei's 4th place at the 1959 FIBA World Championship remains the 2nd best finish ever of an Asian nation at this tournament.
