Probably thinking of qualification, the host asked for his educational attainment. Peñaflorida said he graduated in 2000 at the San Sebastian College–Recoletos de Cavite with a degree in computer technology, with the highest honors.
The pushcart educator said he then pursued a second course at Cavite State University with a degree in Secondary Education, major in Mathematics, graduating Cum Laude in 2006.
Peñaflorida said his desire to work for the government is limited only to DepEd. “I don’t see myself working (for a government post) higher than that,” he said, adding that he also has no plans to enter the political arena.
In the course of the interview, Peñaflorida recalled that the CNN grant of $100,000 cash was spent to “buy a small lot” for the ‘Kariton’ building of the Dynamic Teen Company, the organization he founded and heads, “to send volunteers to college,” and “to church as tithe.”
