Is February 27, 2012 a holiday in the Philippines?

In line with the 26th Anniversary of EDSA People Power Revolution on February 25, 2012, many are asking if February 27, 2012 was declared a holiday in the Philippines.

Under Proclamation No. 295, the 26th EDSA Revolution Anniv will still be commemorated on February 25, 2012 as it was declared Special Holiday (for all schools).  This means that there will be no classes on public and private schools on the said date. Classes are NOT SUSPENDED on Feb 27, unless your school chose to do so.
