Ginebra's head coach Siot Tanguincen announces that the Best Player of the Conference last Commissioner's cup was already given a go signal by his doctors to join the team in training.
“We’ll see how he will respond,” Tanquingcen told the Bulletin in a phone interview. “According to Mark’s doctors, it should be gradual. Then after two weeks, he’ll be re-evaluated and will go from there if he can really play.”
“It’s always good news that guys are getting back healthy. There is still possibility of a surgery, though we’re hoping for the best he won’t have one. Even Mark doesn’t want to undergo operation. Now it’s a trial period,” Tanquingcen added.
“Mark isn’t 100 percent healthy”
“Let’s just see how he goes. He can actually do everything, but as I’ve said just gradual. There are no limitations on what he does,”
Mark Caguioa was last seen in action last March 30 against B-Meg Llamados in the Battle for 2nd outright semifinals berth.
Though still suffering from migraine, caguioa can now shoot around to regain his usual form.
Caguioa led the local last season with 16.90 point, 6.40 rebounds and 2.40 assist and was pretty consistent whole through out the conference before going down with the scary injury.
With combo-guard import Cedric Bozeman displaying a team game, Caguioa and the rest of the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings might have a better season this time.
