MRT and LRT Independence Day FREE Ride, June 12 (Philippines)

> Passengers of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) will be treated to free rides as part of the celebration of the country's 114th Independence Day, a television report said Monday.

A report aired over GMA News TV's "News TV Live" quoted LRTA-MRT3 spokesperson Atty. Hernando Cabrera as saying the MRT and LRT will be offering free rides on June 12 from 7:00am to 9:00am and 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

On the other hand, other government agencies will set up a one-stop shop in Luneta Park or Rizal Park in celebration of Independence Day. There, the television report said, citizens can request documents from the Bureau of Internal Revenue, National Statistics Officer, and National Bureau of Investigation.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Government Service Insurance System will also have booths where people can inquire about their concerns. The Philippine National Police will also put up a recruitment booth. Metro Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino said the one-stop will last for two days.
