Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera Celebrate Their Birthdays In Hong Kong

MANILA, Philippines – Real-life couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes left for Hong Kong Aug. 1, along with the latter’s family, to jointly celebrate their birthdays. Dingdong’s birthday is on Aug. 2 and Marian’s is on Aug. 12.

Before leaving, Dingdong was still able to tape an episode for Marian’s sitcom “Tweets for my Sweet,” which will air on her birthday.

“Actually, dapat surprise ito sa akin pero bilang may mga…nakalusot at nalaman ko na guest nga siya. Kahit sa script ko kasi [ay] hindi nilalagay na siya ‘yung guest,” Marian said on “24 Oras” Aug. 1.

“Siyempre thankful din naman ako na tinanggap niya itong ‘Tweets’ para sa akin,” she added.

Meanwhile, Dingdong proves that he isn’t just Marian’s beau but also her supporter.

“I’m really a fan of her show [at] parati kong sinasabi sa kanya ‘yon. That’s why para sa akin, sobrang nakakatuwa na finally magge-guest ako and parang mai-starstruck ako for sure ‘pag nakita ko sina tita Nova, si kuya Dick (Paulate), lahat sila, sina Sheena (Halili), ‘di ba?”

Although the couple has admitted to not giving each other birthday gifts, they insist that material things mean little to them.

“Wala naman sa surpresa ‘yan. Basta mahal mo at alam niya ‘yon everyday...” Marian mused aloud.
“Mas maganda ’yung [regalong] simple lang talaga,” Dingdong added.
