TRAI Extending Quality of Service (QoS) Timeline

TRAI, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India is extending the time frame given for the comments on guidelines on proposed minimum quality benchmark for mobile Internet services, till seventeenth of August.

July 25 was the deadline date which was set for this proposed guidelines. Standards of Quality of Service for Mobile Data Services Regulations, 2012, under this standard TRAI issued customers can get the benefit.
TRAI has confirmed in the above mentioned standard of quality mobile data service that operators will have to activate the serive of internet operation within three hours from the customers request received.

The regulator has specified the success rate which operators should have in delivering mobile internet services using all thethree technology like 2G, 3G and 4G.

Nine parameters will be taken into consideration and in monitoring the service provided by the internet service provider, which includes download speed, data transmission, etc.

TRAI has released the dradt of the regulations on minimum quality benchmarks for mobile internet service and had sought written comments on them from stockholders.
