Metro Manila Traffic Re-Routing for November 1 and 2 UNDAS Holiday

The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Local Government Units (LGUs) released the information on road closures and re-routing in different parts of NCR for the November 1, 2013, holiday.

The re-routing in Metro Manila will start on October 31, as the City of Makati will implement a traffic re-routing plan to ease the flow of traffic within the vicinity of the Manila South Cemetery. The re-routing will remain in effect until Saturday, November 2, 2013.

Here’s the following streets that will be closed to vehicular traffic on November 1, 2013:
  • Kalayaan Avenue – from Zapote Street to F. Zobel St.;
  • South Avenue – from Metropolitan to J.P. Rizal;
  • Vito Cruz – from South Avenue to Zapote St.;
  • N. Garcia (formerly Reposo) Street – from Jupiter to JP Rizal;
  • and Pililia Street – from J.P. Rizal to Kalayaan Avenue.
The following streets will be open to two-way traffic:
  • J.P. Rizal – from Pasong Tirad to Makati Avenue;
  • Kalayaan Avenue – from F. Zobel St. to Makati Avenue and from Pasong Tirad to Zapote St.
  • All public utility vehicles from Mega Market to San Joaquin/Pateros, take F. Manalo St., turn left to F. Antonio St., right to Pio Alvarez St., to cross Kalawaan Bridge, right to Elisco Road to destination.

Here’s the Alternate Route:

  • All PUVs and PUJs from Mega Market to Rotonda, take F. Manalo St., left to E. Angeles St., left to C. Raymundo Ave., to destination.
  • All PUJs from San Joaquin/Pateros to Mega Market, take Elisco Road, left to M. Jimenez St. to cross Kalawaan Bridge, right to F. Antonio St., left to Balderrama St., to destination.
  • All PUVs and PUJs from A. Mabini St. to Mega Market, take M.H. Del Pilar St., turn right to E. Angeles St., right to F. Manalo St., to destination.
  • All vehicles going via C. Raymundo Ave., bound to Rotonda/C-5/Shaw Blvd., take Stella Maris St., left to Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave., to destination.
All vehicles via C. Raymundo Ave bound to Pasig Mega Market, San Miguel, Palatiw, Sto. Tomas, Pasig Catholic Cemetery, Bambang, San Joaquin, Kalawaan, take F. Legaspi St., right to Market Ave. to destination.

Paranaque City Re-Routing (October 31, 2013 to November 2, 2013)
a. Starting from Lopez Avenue, PUJ vehicle going to Sucat Highway shall take the inner lane.
b. All vehicles bound to Manila Memorial Park (MMP) shall take the middle and outer lanes.
c. All other vehicle bound to Sucat Highway and Loyola, turn right to Lopez Avenue as alternate route

Starting from the Sucat Highway are SM/BF going to Baclaran, all vehicles bound to Manila Memorial Park (MMP) shall take the inner and middle lanes. All other vehicles and PUJ’s bound to Baclaran direction, shall take the outer lane or take President Avenue instead and turn right to corner Aguirre until El Grande Avenue for exit to Lopez Avenue.

Alternate Route in Paranague City:
a. Teoville Avenue (along President Ave., BF) will open its gate at 6:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. entrance only and 4:15 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. exit only.
b. Jackielou Ville (coming from President Ave., BF) through Dona Irenea Avenue (Ireneville Subd.) for those going to Sucat (to exit near Caltex).

Manila Traffic Re-Routing:
  • Dimasalang from Makiling to Dimasalang Circle; Blumentritt from Rizal Ave. to city limit; Makiling to Maceda/Retiro; and Dimasalang Circle to Blumentritt will be closed to traffic from 6:00 a.m October 31, 2013 onwards.
Marikina Traffic Re-Routing:
  • Bonifacio Avenue will be closed to traffic for all vehicles going to Quezon City effective 12 p.m. of October 31 until 12 p.m. on November 3.
  • All vehicles coming from Quezon City can normally pass through Bonifacio Avenue.
  • Lopez Jaena Street will be on its normal two-way traffic flow except from C. De Leon St. to Marikina River Park.
  • All vehicles coming from Lopez Jaena St. going to Marikina Proper shall take Marikina Bridge under loop, then to Malvar Ext. and Capt. Sindo St. going up to Marikina Bridge then to Marikina Proper.
  • All vehicles coming from Montalban, San Mateo, Nangka, and others, bound for Quezon City, may take Marikina Bridge under loop via. J.P, Rizal St. going to Marcos Highway ot take G. Fernando Avenue going to Marcos Highway.
  • In San Juan, A. Bonifacio St. from Carriedo Street to F. Blumentritt St. will be temporarily closed. All vehicles are advised to turn left to San Luis St. going to F. Blumentritt Street.
  • Boni Serrano Ave. corner Horseshoe Drive is a one-way street going to San Juan Cemetery up to 1st West Street.
  • All vehicles from EDSA going to San Juan must turn right to 2nd Avenue, then turn left to Santolan Road, straight ahead to Marifosa Street, turn left to C. Benitez St., straight ahead to Boni Serrano Ave., going to Ortigas Avenue up to their destination.
  • All vehicles from EDSA going to San Juan must turn right to 2nd Avenue, then turn left to Santolan Road, straight ahead to Marifosa Street, turn left to C. Benitez St. and turn left to Boni Serrano Ave., going to San Juan Cemetery.
