American Idol Season 11 runner-up"definitely" wants to visit the Philippines soon, said her mother.
Jessica's mom Editha, who hails from Samal, Bataan, said in an interview by ABS-CBN News that her family wishes to visit her homeland to learn more about the Pinoy culture. Jessica's father is Mexican.
Her mom added that Jessica has been asking for their planned visit to the country. "Hopefully, we will soon so she can learn about the Filipinos, the country.”
Jessica finished second to Phillip Phillips during the Season Finale on Wednesday. Editha said it didn't matter for Jessica whether she won or came in second. "She was just happy with what she’s done, which is get to top two, and that was more than she can ask for. I was just so happy for her," said her mom, who has always been supportive of her daughter with her Idol journey.
