The MMDA filed charges against Carabuena for assaulting Saturnino Fabros who tried to apprehend the former for ignoring a red light at the corner of Capitol Hills Drive and Tandang Sora Ave. in Quezon City. Carabuena's brother, who also confronted Fabros, was included in the charge sheet.
The MMDA demanded last week that Carabuena issue a public apology to Fabros and to the agency. It said that assaulting a traffic enforcer is grounds for the suspension or cancellation of one's driver's license.
@MMDA The direct assault case filed against Carabuena will push through. There is a preliminary hearing later today at the QC Prosecutor’s office.
